THE GREAT DEBATE!

What an awesome experience our Manifest Destiny Debate turned out to be! The kids did an AMAZING job arguing for and against the early American idea of settling the West. 
In both classes, Team A (the side for Manifest Destiny) won. It was VERY hard for the judges to come to an agreement both times, however, in the end, it boiled down to how animated and passionate the students on the team spoke about their subject matter. The research and examples for both sides was well thought out and presented respectfully.

As their teacher, I was very proud to show off their hard work to community members who volunteered to be judges.
